This week, we didn’t just take any ole L; this hit different. To his family and friends, fans and admirers, to the communities who were directly impacted by his kindness and indirectly impacted by his wisdom—to Black culture, Hip-Hop culture, and those who partake, Nipsey Hussle’s passing stings in a way many of us have never experienced, or at least in a while. This week has been extremely heavy for me, and I can’t begin to imagine what it’s been like for those who were close to him. Though his death is a huge L for the culture, Nipsey still won the race and left gems of knowledge behind for us to pick up where he left off. So this week is dedicated to Nipsey Hussle and the many people mourning his loss; he’s gone, but the culture won’t ever let his legacy die with him.
