I’ve referred to my hair in the third person since I went natural almost six years. I do this because she’s made it clear that she has a mind of her own. I kept this in mind as I took down my braids last weekend, having undergone a mini-chop back in October due to previous heat damage. But low and behold, not only did she de-tangle easier and showed incredible strength, she has also grown more than I expected her to. My hair and I are finally in harmony, my confidence is at an all-time high, and I couldn’t be more proud of my fro and her progress; 4c has never felt so good!
