Though Black History Month was shaky, we seemed to somewhat stick the landing in the end with the happenings of this week. We went from excessive racism & ignorance, to Black excellence finally being recognized and upheld. Black people and Black art showed out at the Oscars (I called it [see last week's post]!) , and because we voted, a black woman will be Chicago’s next mayor. Even so, Black folks have always been great; a month doesn’t determine that. For this reason, I’ll call this week a draw and hope for better soon; our best is always enough.
